Situs wikipedian has recently deleted its 80% because of dearth of refernces and you may help to keep me positive for the same and as you asked me earlier to create Delhi-Jaipur line, I have created it and enlarge it with your broad knowledge of railway. Please Let me know what are the benefits of creating pages on wikipedia. Nice/ good to hear from you.Rajsector3 (talk) 16:45, 12 April 2014 (UTC)

[edit]Need template for route Vijayawada–Guntur section. Can you do that.--Vin09 (talk) 06:51, 10 September 2014 (UTC)
Hi Chandan
[edit]Hi Chandan, Need your opinion on a couple of things.
- Wanted to know what your opinion is on replacing [1] with [2] as the lead image on New Delhi railway station.
- A user Aryankapoorjagadhri is very keen on adding a station Jagadhri which is located between Saharanpur and Ambala Cantt presumable because he is from that town on Amarnath Express, Lohit Express and Lucknow Chandigarh Express. While these trains do stop there, it is not a major station when compared with the likes of Saharanpur and Ambala Cantt both for size and the distances between them. I have undone his edits a couple of times but i am not sure if i should take it further should he re-add his hometown.
Your views on that please.

community development block
[edit]I see many moves by you to add disambiguation (Community development block). That is not required if that is the primary topic. Such dab brackets are avoided if there is no alternative articles. Better to revert all of the 50+ pages you have moved, as communists are no longer in power in West Bengal. Trotting cove (talk) 08:44, 31 October 2014 (UTC)
- But railway station are given disambig only if there is already an article on the place. I can revert only if u r ok with this change, otherwise i will move on. You can read further about policy here wp:dab. Trotting cove (talk) 08:54, 3 November 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for being open minded, I will move few of them when I get time. Trotting cove (talk) 06:55, 8 December 2014 (UTC)
Please note that Gaya Railway Station is not a link to an article, it is a disambiguation link. Please fix this disambiguation link that you have introduced to the relevant templates immediately. Disambiguation links are strictly forbidden in templates, and must be addressed right away or they cause damage to the encyclopedia. Cheers! bd2412 T 05:17, 13 November 2014 (UTC)

Dear Chandan, greetings. I wish to bring to your kind notice that the article, Coimbatore - Shoranur railway line draws many points from your article, Jolarpettai–Shoranur line. Barring a few, most of them seem to be a direct copy vio from your article. Does that amount to possible violation of guidelines for copying within wikipedia? Should this be reported? Also i don't see much justification of Coimbatore - Shoranur railway line, as this is already a part of existing Jolarpettai–Shoranur line. Though the creator of that article is focussing on Coimbatore-related articles, he could have well expanded the existing one by adding a new section. --βα£α(ᶀᶅᶖᵵᵶ) 11:21, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
- Hi folks, if I may comment here. You are allowed to copy material from one article into another. However, we do need you to state where the content was copied from, so that anyone who wants to can look at the history for each edit. The best way to do this, is any time you add text into an article from another article, just say so in the edit summary: "Article created with content copied from [[SOURCE-ARTICLE-NAME]], see that page for attribution." If you do that, you can remove the bot alerts if they tag the page.
- If I can request, for the articles above that were tagged, if you can make a small edit to each of those, using the form of the above edit summary, that will let us close out the investigations that the bot has opened. Thanks for your work! CrowCaw 21:06, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
KMC Wards
[edit]Hi, Chandan Guha:
For the article "Ward No. 48, Kolkata Municipal Corporation", I read your edit summary: "All pages for KMC Wards (presently 48 in number) have been developed against a same fixed format."
Please, the "fixed format" has two errors that are causing a Checkwiki high-priority error #5: "Comment tag with no correct end". Specifically, the comments on the parameters "area_total_km2" and "area_land_km2" are not terminated properly.
I will fix the six articles where these errors occur. Please update the "fixed format". Thanks. Knife-in-the-drawer (talk) 16:02, 18 April 2015 (UTC)

Merger discussion for Akhaura–Laksam–Chittagong line
[edit]May 2015
[edit]@Chandan Guha: Noticed that a major part of the "History" section of the page West Champaran district was created by you, perhaps via a move. The diff shows that this is indeed the case: [3]. I found that most of this content is listed verbatim on [4]. Since that source does not make any copyright claims, it doesn't seem like a copyvio to me. So instead, I tagged it with {{close paraphrasing}}. It needs clean up. If you could help out with the copyediting, that would be great. Thanks! ← scribbleink ᗧHᗣT 08:13, 20 May 2015 (UTC)

Help
[edit]I've moved Vijayawada–Guntur section to Guntur–Krishna Canal section. There is Guntur-Repalle section and I've created Tenali-Repalle branch line (a subset of the Guntur-Repalle) as per Guntur railway division info at SCR Guntur Division. So, are they worth an articles as per reference?--Vin09 (talk) 04:02, 27 July 2015 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Kushmandi (community development block), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page William Carey (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

[edit]Hello this is Vmalladeb (talk).I have seen you editing the history of Bankura and Mallabhum [[5]] so I am asking you for a big help as I am new to Wikipedia. The Malla kings of Bishnupur were descendents of Adi Malla and have no link to the Malla Deb kings of Jhargram.Bir Hambir never used Malla Dev and on the list of Mallabhum rulers the rulers of Jhargram are included starting from Sarveshwar Malla Deb to Narasingha Malla Deb which has to be removed. —Preceding undated comment added 14:20, 22 October 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
