After reading this article about “Google's Ideological Echo Chamber” I can say that everything in the article is relevant to the title. One topic that distracted me is when the author started to talk about how James Damore is suing google and how he is trying to bring light to being wrongfully fired due to what he said about his colleagues at work. I felt that it jumped from the topic of “Google’s Memo” to how Damore is taking actions for what happened to him. This article is focused on Damore’s actions and how he is standing up to google for what he feels was a wrongful outcome. It shows how what he said was not wrong and that he was making valid claims in the memo. I feel that the article needs to show more of how this affects Google and the people still within the company, versus how it affects Damore. They have credible sources to back up their findings supporting Damore in the way that they have approximately ten different Professors within a variety of fields supporting the claims. The sources they have are more on Damore’s side, but they do talk about how there are exceptions to everyone and results will vary person to person. None of the facts and support provided are out of date due to the article being released within the last two months. On the talk page there are plenty of people support Damore and say that after much of their own research have come to the conclusion that his claims are strong and find it hard to reject them. The users who do not agree with him are saying that some of his supporting claims are false and can not be supported since they are so new and not enough research has been done on the topics. More of the users support him and say he was wrongfully fired, while the others who do not agree are in agreement with the reasons for being fired provided by Google. The article is rated as a Start-Class which means that it is an article that can use changes. This article has yet to be included in any WikiProjects at this time. The way we talked about this topic in class differs from how Wikipedia talks about it is in the way that they do not go into much detail about how the memo is saying that there are not enough women in this field, but in class we discuss in detail how there are plenty of women making their way into the technology field and to the extent of what we have done to further the field already. This article is very interesting and I like how they bring up the topics about how males and females are different yet can have a great deal of similarities among them. I wish they would have been more neutral in their sources to also support the claims that Google is making to show both sides of the feud and make it more transparent for the audience.
