About me

[edit]

Hello, I am a high school athlete who loves to play football and run track.Playing multiple sports has improved my strength,speed,endurance,etc...[1]Some of my other hobbies include, hiking, running and binge watching movies.

My Wikipedia interests

[edit]

If I am ever active on Wikipedia, I will be looking at articles for school or reading about some of my favorite subjects, such as sports, maybe even some literature.

Article Evaluation

[edit]

I have been very interested in Nike shoes recently, considering I just got my first pair of Nike Air force 1’s. I know some basic information about the shoe. I know this particular shoe is very popular in the United States.I visited the Nike air force 1  article on Wikipedia, and found three aspects of it worth commenting on: Lack of citations, notability, and the impact of the shoe.

Citations

[edit]

On this Wikipedia page, there are some citations, with some references listed at the bottom, but these references are not spoken of in the article itself. I can clearly see an attempt to cite in earlier paragraphs but as the article continues, the citations dwindle. This section could definitely have more citations and references related to the history and the description of the shoe.

Notability

[edit]

Much of the text is a story about the shoe rather than a description.I feel like a lot of this text is just “filler” to make the article look longer. Also there is no article about the shoe I searched up, the article just mentions it a couple of times. This article could use a lot less “filler” and a lot more talk about the Nike Air Force 1(The original article I searched)

Impact

[edit]

This shoe has made a big name for itself again in the fashion world. This shoe was released back in 1982, in these past two years the shoe has made a comeback and made a name for itself once again, rising back to its  popularity from 1982. The article Fails to reference this as it merely references the impact of this shoe.

Summary

[edit]

I would say this article is “alright”. This article has some strong points but the weak points have a heavy impact on the overall stability of the article. There is a lot of information missing on this page (from prior knowledge and other articles)Also, in the later versions there is no references.
