Musical Background and Outlook
[edit]Electric bassist and composer from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Graduated with a performance diploma in 2008 from Grant MaCewan University. Enrolled at Berklee College of Music in 2009 and set to graduate in the summer of 2011.
My Music
[edit]Currently I find myself writing music with simple, sing-able melodies that are blended with more complex chord changes through various theoretical techniques. The idea is to blend the simplistic melodic qualities from hip-hop with the more involved chord structures and patterns from jazz. I feel that this makes the music more accessible to a wider audience, both those that enjoy complexity (improvisation is also very important) and simplicity.
