Carlos Alberto Perez Arteaga, known as Carlos Arteaga was born in Barranquilla, Colombia in 1982. He studied a Bachelor degree in TV and Communication studies in Orlando, Florida at the University of Central Florida. He started his career in Television in 1998 in Bogotá, Colombia working as an actor in PADRES E HIJOS (1998-1999) EL CABALLERO DE RAUZAN (2000) RETRATOS (2003) and NO RENUNCIES SALOMÉ (2004). He composed the main music theme for the telenovela RETRATOS (2003) aired by RCN television and produced by Fox tele-Colombia. He has three music albums composed by him named “SUEÑOS DE LUNA” In 1998 published by líderes Colombia , “ANGEL” published by Origin Group ,and “MESTIZO” published by Televisa. Many of his songs were used in productions like “TU VOZ ESTÉREO” and the soup opera “LA EX” in a Colombian Chanel know as Caracol TV and the Mexican soup opera “DESEO PROHIBIDO” produced by TV Azteca.

In 2014, he moved to Mexico City and start working in TELEVISA known today as Las Estrellas and Televisa-Univisión which air their productions in Mexico and United Estates of America simultaneously.

AMARGO AMARGO a soup opera produced by Pedro Ortiz de Pinedo for Las Estrellas is Carlos’ last known project in TV as a writer. Amor amargo cast the known Mexican stars Daniela Romo, Arturo Peniche, Andres Palacios, and in her first female principal role the Mexican actresses Ana Belena.
