"(You Drive Me) Crazy" is a song by American recording artist Britney Spears. [1] [2]

Background and composition

In a 1998 interview with MTV News spears said that she thought of the song as an extension of her breakout hit "...Baby One More Time", which was also co-written and produced by Max Martin.[1] She commented, "It's an uptempo [song]. "Kinda like '... Baby One More Time,' same feel a little. A bit of rock in it."[1] The song went for adds on radio on August 16, 1999.

"(You Drive Me) Crazy" is a teen pop and dance-pop song, in a "moderately slow" tempo. According to the sheet music published at Musicnotes.com by Sony/ATV Music Publishing, the song is set in common time with a metronome of 92 beats per minute. It is composed in the key of E minor with Spears' vocal range spanning from the low-note of G3 to the high-note of D5. The song follows in the chord progression of Cm–A–G[2]
