Hugh A. Taylor (22 January 1920-11 September 2005) was an archivist who worked in Great Britain and Canada. He made significant philosophical contributions to the archival literature, exploring a wide range of topics from the impact of electronic records, the changing professional identity of archivists, appraisal of visual records, and the linkages between archives and ecology.

Biography

Hugh A. Taylor was born in England in 1920. During World War II, Taylor served in the Royal Air Force as a communications specialist. He spent his early archival career in England.
