Cali Barre Cali Bare is a Somali sub clan of Habar Jeclo part of Large Isaaq tribes. Cali Barre is Part of the largest subclan of Habar Jeclo unknown as (Bare Adaraxmaan) which are Cali Barre, Maxamed Bare, and Muuse Bare unknown as Biciide together they form largest sub clan of Habar Jeclo by population and land. The Cali Barre have played a key role in the history of Somalia and Somaliland. The British Rules, considered the Cali Barre a major oppositional power to their Dervish of the Horn of Africa especially in Somalia. During 1899 to 1922 Cali Barre were split in to two functions, Some Clans of Cali Barre led by Cali Darwiish fought against colonisation a long side Dervish in battles of Ruugga, Daratoole Beerdhiga, Cagaarwayne, Other Cali Barre Clans led by Cali Aroos and Diiriye Xumood were fought against Dervish in the battles such as Garabcad, Fardhidin, Afbakayle, Cali Barre viewed themselves as a major protector of Somalia and Somaliland because of their huge loss of life and wealth Cali bare consider themselves as a one of the veteran tribes of Somaliland and Somalia. During the Siad Barre regime Cali Bare were part of the military government, such as Former Somali Minister and Ambassador HM Maxamed Xaashi Abdi, A Former Somalia Security Advicer and a graduate From Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS) Brigadier Colonel Jamac Cali Cashuur, Former Somali Chief Of Police and Minister of Agriculture Isamail Hashi, Former Somali Military Chief of staff Colonel Cisman Cawed Cali, Former Somalia Marine officer Lt. Commander Caydiid Dirir Xirsi. Former Somali military Coup leader Abdi Maxamed aright, former Chief of Somali Secret Service Xasan Aadan Jaqaf (Taydh) , Former Somalia Director of Depertment of Health Dr Nuur Jaamac. Once again Cali Barre also played a vital role in the Somali National Movement (SNM) during their efforts to capture northern Somalia from the Siad Barre regime many of SNM is military commanders such as Lt. Territory Cali Barre members are found in their traditional territories such as the regions of Sool, Togdheer, Sanaag, Ayn and Saaxil (a new province of (Saraar), and some members of Cali Bare clan are also found in Haud area and they have significant population in the city of Burco. The vast majority of the Ali Bare live in the town of town Caynaba, Ceeldhaab, Wadaamagoo, Habariheshay, Oog, Guumays, Yeyle, Badweyn, Gowsaweyne, Qoridheere Berkeda Cali Xirsi,Bukhdhakayn. Hadhwanaag, Godheeli, Sincaro Faraguul,Godcade, Gumburaha, Butaweyne, Tradition There are Several (Clan Chiefs) but only two of them are named in this article, Chief Caaqil Cali Xirsi Axmed, Caaqil Ismaaciil Caarshe and others will be included later when their names received. All clan chiefs strongly support the existence of republic Somaliland. Traditionally, Cali Bare clan is known as fierce warriors, who fought against European Invasion of Somalia also Ethiopian expansion to their Somali Territory in 1885, 1920, 1953, 1964, 1977, Ali Bare also take part in Somali Civil from 1981-1991 by supporting SNM Somali National Movement a Northern Somali rebel group which overthrow Somalia government in 1991 and later formed Republic of Somaliland. Cali Barre is buried in Cayn a place called Qabriga Sheakh Cali Caanood or the grave of skeakh Ali Anod near Badweyn in the South East of Sool region of Somaliland a former break way republic of Somalia.
