Mama Mikay or Mama Micay lived in the town of Patahuayllacan, and was the wife of the sixth Inca, Inca Roca. Mama Mikay was the daughter of Soma Inca, a cinchi of Patahuayllacan. Mama Mikay was originally promised by the town of Huayllacan (her native town) to the cinchi of the Ayarmacas, Tocay Capac. But when she was married to Inca Roca, the Ayarmacas declared themselves enemies of Huayllacan, because they broke their word, and waged war against them.[1]
Mama Mikay had a son Tito Cusi Hualpa, also known as Yahuar Huacac, by Inca Roca.[1]
