I grew up in Southern Utah. As such I'm an avid hiker. I've explored many parks including Arches, Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands, Monument Valley, and Zion's.
I graduated with a B.S. in Information Systems, and have been employed by leading IT organizations as a .NET Software Engineer and Quality Assurance Engineer.
Computer Programming: The art of creating and maintaining well written code is a pursuit. Like a border-collie chasing a tennis ball that went behind the couch, I'm obsessive over having good design. I find myself seeking new challenges on a daily basis.
Jiu Jitsu: I started training in Jiu Jitsu in late 2013. I've long admired the sport, as I haven't missed a UFC event. I get tossed around, and physically destroyed by smaller and generally weaker guys on a regular basis. The fact that they can do this is due to technique. It's a ground based game with a many submissions, and few excuses.
Religion: Growing up in Utah probably qualifies me to talk about Mormonism. It's a fascinating religion centered by a controversial young prophet and his interesting teachings. What I find more interesting about Mormonism is not evidence for or against it (which is worthy of interest), but that one cannot outright dismiss it as it does inherently lay claim to some astonishing points.
