West Crossroads Family History
It is a well known fact that the History of Spivey's Corner was formerly known as West Crossroads, but due to some facts there are some skeptics that are not aware of it's true history.
"Given the census-designated place located in Sampson County, North Carolina, at the intersection of U.S. Highway 13 and U.S. Highway 421.
Spivey's Corner formerly known as West Crossroads is located at 35°12'6" North, 78°29'8" West (35.201600, -78.485572)."
As a direct descendant of West & Jernigan, West Crossroads was once a part of my West Family Ancestry way before 1969 when it became Spivey's Corner.
All land from North to South and East to West was owned by the West Families of more than 1000 acres of land, before Old Man Spivey changed the name from West Crossroads in 1969.
As to factual information of the history of Spivey's Corner formerly known as West Crossroads has much history to gain from the beginning of it's ancestors and where they came from.
It has been recorded that the name West and Jernigan Families go way back to England through royal ancestor origin as far back to William I (the Conquerer).
