Burningchrome is Robert P Goeke. He was born on March 17 1980 in Boston Massachusetts. He earned a BA in Film Scoring from The Berklee College of Music before enlisting in the US Army as a tuba player. He was assigned to the 76th Army Band in Mannheim, Germany and served a tour in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He began his master's degree in orchestral conducting at The Catholic University of America in the fall of 2007. He is married to the lovely Amanda Goeke.
The name Burningchrome is from William Gibson's book of short stories. Robert enjoys the music of Shostakovich, Mahler, Bruckner, Strauss, Beethoven, Furtwangler and Dvorak.
