The focus of the archive is on holdings of actors in the past and present that are located between the level of the municipalities and the level of the Bundesland NRW. The archive keeps

  • personal papers of women and men from the Ruhr region,
  • records and files of the IG BCE and its predecessor organisations IG Bergbau und Energie, Gewerkschaft Leder, and IG CPK,
  • records and files of the Regionalverband Ruhr and its predecessor organisations, the Kommunalverbund Ruhr and the Siedlungsverband Ruhrkohlebezirk.
