- 6th MD - Peralta

- 8th MD - Ingeniero (Bohol Area Command), Cushing (Cebu Area Command)- yet you say it was not refounded?
- 9th MD - Kangleon (Leyte Area Command), Smith (Samar Area Command)
- 10th MD - Fertig (Mindanao), Suarez (Sulu Area Command)
- 1st, 2nd, and 3rd MDs on Luzon "not recognized on basis of area controlled"
Not all districts had headquarters due to communications difficulties, for example 9th MD was split into Leyte and Samar Area Commands.
9th Military District
[edit]The 9th Military District was an irregular formation of the Philippine Army, created to organize anti-Japanese guerrillas operating in the Philippines during the Pacific Campaign of World War II.
Forces on Leyte were led by Ruperto Kangleon, and eventually became the Leyte Area Command.
