This WikiProject is an attempt to organize articles about British Columbia into a coherent format. Some Wikipedians have formed a project to better organize information in articles related to British Columbia. This page and its subpages contain their suggestions; it is hoped that this project will help to focus the efforts of other Wikipedians. If you would like to help, please inquire on the talk page.
This WikiProject does not include the Greater Vancouver Regional District, which is managed by WikiProject Vancouver.

WikiProject on British Columbia
Scope

This WikiProject aims primarily to establish a Community-driven Wikipedia standard British Columbia-related article. As members of the British Columbia community we understand how important British Columbia articles are to new users.
Goals
[edit]- Review and improve the quality of British Columbia-related articles.
- Increase the number of articles related to British Columbia in Wikipedia
- Organize articles and define categories relating to British Columbia and develop standard formats for same

[edit]- British Columbia is the most populous province in Western Canada.
- British Columbia is Canada's only province with access to the Pacific Ocean.
- British Columbia has a diverse ecosystem, ranging from coastal areas to forests and deserts.
- British Columbia is home to Whistler-Blackcomb, often ranked the top ski resort in North America and co-host of the 2010 Winter Olympics.

- Neighbourhoods: Urban neighbourhoods are not disambiguated (example: [[Chinatown]]) unless another place exists in the world with the same name (example: [[Chinatown, Victoria]]).
- Schools: as [[Kelowna Senior Secondary School]], or a disambiguation page if there is more than one school with this name. This does not apply to Colleges or Universities.

[edit]The following sample tables are copied from Wikipedia:WikiProject Indigenous peoples of North America and are recommended for transferring the list on the obverse page into, to provide systematic coordination of various articles needing writing or review. I don't have time or I'd transfer some of the things listed in "Tasks" into tables like this, with each of the sections overleaf forming one table maybe (or by any theme, actually; e.g. parks and protected areas, industry and commerce, population and ethnography, geography and so on.
