Lumina is a web design company in New York City, also providing website development, mobile applications, custom software, proprietary e-signature software, marketing services, and related IT services.
History
[edit]Founded as Lumina Systems Inc. in 2004[1] by Yaniv Liron and later re-branded as Lumina in 2014, the company started in software development[2]. Liron used his background in software with a focus on user-experience (UX) to create web-based software for companies in New York including First Corporate Sedans, Scoop NYC, and United Homes. Using HTML, CSS, Javascript, and PHP, Liron added website design to the scope of Lumina's services.
After gaining more notoriety through word-of-mouth marketing, the company expanded and more employees were added to Lumina. The company moved their offices to the Flatiron District in New York City[3]. The development team created a proprietary e-signature software system called UC Sign[4] that's been integrated into software and websites for businesses like FlatRate Moving.
In 2013, Lumina shifted their main focus from software to website design and development, adding search engine optimization and marketing material services to their overall scope. Lumina has provided these services to clients like CBS Sports, Plaza College, Katz Moving, and Mark Josefsberg[5].
