My name is Brooke Hubbard, I grew up in Glen Ellyn, Illinois and I am currently a Senior at Illinois State University studying Politics and Government. I plan on using my degree to get my paralegal when I graduate and then later attend Law School somewhere in Illinois. I have always been interested in politics and government, I was brought up in a household where politics was talked about a lot on both a republican and democratic perspective. My father is also an attorney so his career has made me very interested in putting myself in to the field of law and politics. I am on Wikipedia because I am currently enrolled in a class called Political Parties at Illinois State. For a major part of our class we are involving ourselves in a project called State Parties and Platforms Project. We are trying as a class to make improvements to one state political party organization's Wikipedia entry. We also will be preparing and developing a national party platform planks. I am very interested to learn about topics such as how our two major parties in our government effect us daily as a society. I am also interested in learning the different types of roles the different parties play in our society.
