Haivan Hoang (born) is an academic and scholar in literacy and postsecondary writing studies with a focus on Asian/American rhetoric. She is an Associate Professor at University of Massachusetts, Amherst (UMass Amherst) and has served in several postsecondary leadership positions.

[edit]Hoang received her B.A from University of California, Berkeley, MA from California State University, Hayward, and PhD from Ohio State University.[1]
Teaching and professional experience
[edit]Hoang has worked at UMass Amherst since 2004, serving as _____ and currently serves as an Associate Professor and Associate Director of the Junior Year Writing Program. She has held two other leadership positions throughout her time as a faculty member at the university, including Director of the University Writing Center (2008-2010) and Writing Program (2011-2016).[1][1]
