ABOUT: I'm an artist. Color & emotion pours from my soul. My inspiration is given without notice. No matter what's going on around me, I grab my notebook to jot down thoughts...fully taking in the moment. My consumption of paper is ridiculous: thoughts, ideas, pictures...everywhere. All of this is required for me to create a piece of my work. To me, painting is just another way of keeping a diary. Personal emotions are vivid & stand out like a swore thumb...expressing deep thought & emotion. one of the main sources of my happiness is to see people's facial expressions when looking at my art, & to see their eye's "emotions" about what is in front of them. Being filled with emotion & inspiration gives you the power of knowing the type of feelings/emotions that are cycling through people's soul...just by looking in their eyes. I get the greatest joy by being in the presence of the people who appreciate what my paintings are all about. Not only what's on the surface, but though every emotion felt, creating each individual stroke of paint.
My Inspiration
[edit]The Dragonfly is the symbol of who i am..of who I've become. What one stands for has several different meanings, but what sits in my soul is the essence of change & transformation. The #2 is very powerful. Think in terms of 2 year periods; that's when you begin a change. The dragonfly urges you to consciously express your hopes, dreams, & needs..& to seek areas in which to affect positive change. Dragonfly is the keeper of dreams, the one within that sees all of our true potential & ability: releases the truth that it's our birthright & our true power to create anything we choose. It'll guide you to your forgotten part of your soul so that an understanding of your true self can be revealed. Realizing our true potential is the ultimate expression of the DRAGONFLY's power. - Dragonfly's wings are clear but can appear colored in different light. Similarly, our emotions color our reality. The essence of the Dragonfly urges you to look beyond illusions and see the truth that is right in front of you. Apply the art of illusion to your own questions & situations to remember things are never completely as they seem. Look far deep into the truth. It's not meant to be something simple to find. It's never on the surface for all to see. Soak that in and trust you will find every answer.
