Evelynn (band) was a metalcore band from the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex signed to Pluto Records. The band was notable for starting the careers of several members who continued on in other notable acts in the genre. In November 2001 they released a split EP with label mates Dreaming of the Fifth[1]. After the release of this EP and several years of touring, the band separated ways in 2004. Guitarist Nick Hipa joined As I Lay Dying and, after the trial of Tim Lambesis in 2014, formed Wovenwar with other members of As I Lay Dying and former Evelynn guitarist Shane Blay. Blay joined Oh, Sleeper as a guitarist and vocalist before rejoining Hipa in Wovenwar to provide lead vocals and guitar. Drummer Jason Roe and Blay also performed for a brief duration in Between the Buried and Me in 2004 as drums and rhythm guitar, respectively.
