Greetings. My name is Mark and I go by the nick of 'BlakJak' online.
I am a native of Auckland, New Zealand though I I am now living in Wellington (again).
I used to edit articles on Wikipedia spasmodically, these days it's even less frequent - usually when I see something that (from my humble point of view) begs for editing - clarifications, simple errors, etc. A stickler for accuracy, you might say. That said, I do like the collaborative nature of Wikipedia the fact that others can add/amend any errors I might have made.
Articles i'm likely to be involved with will usually be those I have a personal interest in - The Military, Emergency Services, Radio & Communications and ICT. I also flit around my favourite movies and TV shows, and from there that damn rabbit hole... I only look at Wikipedia every few weeks, unless i'm looking for something in particular or drilling down the aforementioned rabbit hole.
My pet peeves on Wikipedia include:
People who correct spelling between English-English and American-English - preferring American. I'm a New Zealander - we use the English spelling conventions - just because I spell Neighbour with a U doesn't make it wrong - don't edit me for the sake of editing!
People who edit articles with a multi-national flavour to make them more specific for a particular nation. If you keep it generic it'll work fine - add a more specific paragraph for your particular needs.
For more info on me you can check out my Website assuming I ever get it working again (long story).
