Your recent uploads
Your images recently uploaded which you claim were created by you have all been tagged as copyright violations. Professional sports logos cannot be self-made and cannot be owned by a user. IrishLass (talk) 21:55, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
- I have deleted the images that you uploaded as they are copyright violations as noted above.
- On a side note, I noticed that you tried to add yourself to Wikipedia:WikiProject Television participants. I've added the category for you onto your user page. I realize that as a newcomer to Wikipedia, that things have been quite confusing. If I can be of any assistance, please feel free to contact me. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 22:12, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

- Do you know how to line up all the the participant boxs on the right going down? Blackwatch21 (talk) 22:39, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
- I'll tell you how I did it. I found a page where I liked their box, copied it and then switched out the tags. Like you could copy my page. You do that by hitting "edit this page" and then copy the table. Just make sure you don't save or make any actual changes. IrishLass (talk) 22:45, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

- I replied on my page. I work with Gogo Dodo on Survivor pages and IrishLass on Days or our Lives pages. I saw your post on IrishLass' page and was wondering who you were. I clicked, saw the pictures, and thought rather than repoorting you, I'd just tell you they should be removed. I didn't think you'd want to get in trouble a second time. From the looks of your page, you've been warned by Gogo Dodo and then repeated the action, that's grounds for a warning. I just tried advising you. I was only trying to help you avoid trouble.KellyAna (talk) 22:32, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
- Tom, get rid of the logos, not allowed on user pages. Also don't spend your time dealing with KellyAna/Irlishlass, its funny how you've been a member for three days and the first thing they both do when they return at the same time, is send you messages. They must of seen your name on my contributions. SORRY --DJS24 (talk) 22:30, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
- I wouldn't flatter yourself. He's been on the Las Vegas talk page and IrishLass' page. And defimation is a personal attack and not allowed. If you look, you'll see neither of us tried to hurt your friend but rather help. Your comments are personal attacks. Blackwatch21, you would do well to look up a couple of things before emulating bad behaviour or listening to personal attacks. You seem to be trying, and I certainly haven't done anything wrong in telling you what's not allowed. It wasn't even a warning, it was just some advice since it's the first thing you see when you click on your name. And what do you mean "both return?" I never left, I was just in Daytona and forgot my laptop. Rolex24. Looks like IrishLass has been here too. So what's with the "just return" comment? KellyAna (talk) 22:35, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

Re: Wikiprojects
Re your message: Sure, I can help you with that. Documentation on how to make a userbox is available at Wikipedia:Userboxes. What I would recommend is to find another WikiProject's userbox that you like and then fashion yours after that. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 22:30, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

KellyAna, Can you please stop involving me in my brother and yours conflict. I have nothing to do with it and you are making it seem like I do. I saw that you said my brother and I live in the same house. That is a false assumption. You are making my name look bad and I do not appreciate you doing that to a new user. Best wishes. Re: Wikiproject Xbox 360
Copyrighted non-free images such as product logos and promotional materials may not be used outside of the article namespace. You may link to these images by including a colon before the image name, as in [[:image:image.jpg]], doing this will prevent the image from being rendered. For more information on non-free content and why it can't be used on WikiProject pages, please see Wikipedia:Non-free content criteria exemptions and the more general WP:NFCC guidelines.
When using photographs of consoles or console accessories, bear in mind that you can only use free licensed imagery. Replaceable images from press kits are not allowed anywhere on Wikipedia. Luckily, there's a treasure trove of free images you may use from the Wikimedia Commons. These are located at commons:Category:Xbox 360 and commons:Category:Xbox.
Since the images used in the 360 wikiproject violate Wikipedia policies, I have removed them or replaced them with free alternatives where available. I've also removed the Microsoft logos from the relevant userbox. If these were duplicate or orphaned images, I will delete them. You are welcome to create copyright-free replacements for any deleted image, provided that they are not derivative works or trademark infringements. Please let me know if you have any further questions or if you need help with procuring free images. Regards, ˉˉanetode╦╩ 04:25, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
- The same goes for Image:P1290340.jpg. Don't do this again. ˉˉanetode╦╩ 05:36, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
Re: Free image
Sure, I'd be happy to make something for you! Do you want the logo to be the console itself? David Fuchs (talk) 01:41, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
- It doesn't matter, what ever you think would look best. We're looking for a logo for our project. Thanks --Blackwatch21 (talk) 01:45, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
Here's the rough of the image. Is that along the lines of what you were thinking about? Also, I see you've uploaded several images which are definitely not your work. Don't do that, please, there are plenty of free alternatives (like this!) David Fuchs (talk) 22:05, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

Would you mind if I try my hand at designing the portal for Wikiproject Xbox 360? I have worked quite a bit behind the scenes in portal:sony playstation, and I have some experience with the various area of making a portal. Thanks. Thingg⊕⊗ 04:33, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
Re: Xbox 360 portal
Ok, so what are we thinking here, like, put the boxes at the top of the page? or where did you think they'd go well? ~~ —Preceding unsigned comment added by Thingg (talk • contribs) 16:09, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
- I want the box you had about Xbox and 360 info at the top. I also want the news and things do to box on the right side, under the infobox about the portal.--Blackwatch21 (talk) 16:13, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
- Then I want my featured articles towards the middle to bottom area, with your boxes design at the top. Thanks for your help--Blackwatch21 (talk) 16:16, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
- I did my best to implement your requests, though I was not able to do exactly what you wanted with the "News" and "Things you can do" boxes because the "box-header" template only allows rectangles and doing exactly what you requested left a gaping hole on the left side of the portal above the "Featured game" section. Also, I couldn't figure out how to get the "Infobox VG" to align to something other than center (I was thinking that I would add an additional box called "About this portal" to house that info, but as I said, I can't get the template to align to the center. I tried <center>, <div style="float:center;">, and <div align="center"> to no avail.) For the present, the code for the infobox is commented out on the portal page. Any ideas on where to put it? Also, all of the actual content on the page is now in subpages like Portal:Xbox 360/Featured article or Portal:Xbox 360/Xbox 360 news. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I made shortcuts for both the Wikiproject and the portal. They are WP:XB and WP:XB360 for the project, and P:XB and P:XB360 for the portal. Believe me, it's much easire to type "wp:xb" than "WP:WikiProject Xbox 360". ;-) So, is the present portal satisfactory? or do you have any changes you would like me to make? Please do not add copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder{{#if:|, as you did when uploading copyrighted logos owned by Microsoft. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. For more information, read over WP:NFC. ˉˉanetode╦╩ 05:51, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
- I understand you think you are the chief of the image police and that you don't worry about messing up pages that are under construction and that by the way is vandalism. All the images we get are from other Wikipedia articles so if you are going to delete ours, delete theirs as well.--Blackwatch21 (talk) 20:23, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
- You may not use non-free images outside of article space. When you uploaded the X360 logos for use in userboxes and the WikiProject, you were violating policy. Please stop. I have nothing against your project, but I regularly monitor Wikipedia uploads for potential copyright violations. I understand that your attempts to illustrate the project page were made in good faith, but if you are going to be dealing with non-free images, you need to familiarize yourself with the WP:NFCC. Bear in mind that enforcing Wikipedia image use policies is not vandalism and the equivocation fallacy does not justify borrowing images from articles for use in WikiProjects. Thanks, ˉˉanetode╦╩ 23:56, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
Re: Blackwatch21
If you are referring to Image:28jjj.jpg, it was deleted as blatant copyright infringement of the intellectual property owned by the Black Watch Premier organization. You can't claim copyright on a photograph of someone else's intellectual property. Further, according to WP:USER, you may not use non-free content to decorate your userpage. Before you upload any more images, read over copyright infringement and Commons:Derivative works. Wikipedia takes copyright laws very seriously, so if you continue violating Wikipedia non-free content policies, you will be blocked from editing. Let me know if you have any questions, ˉˉanetodeUser_talk:Anetode 03:18, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

- Thanks KellyAna, and I'm a current admin, as far as I know :) Congratulations on making it to the nationals, Blackwatch. You can take this personally and feel the need to reciprocate with immature threats, or you can take heed of WP:MASTODON. I really am trying to help you here, I don't want to resort to blocking or other drastic measures. - LOL, look who returns, KellyAna your input isn't needed here. Anetode, your not an admin, I suggest you look at the admin list. So please don't threaten me with your non - existing admin status. I will change my picture without the logo so it fits the rules, and change any image on Wikiproject Xbox thats needed to be changed. I'm very upset however, that you took it upon yourself to delete every image without discussing or even asking us to take them down. Instead you deleted them and ruined our entire Xbox page several times. Also, if you want something removed from MY userpage, you ask/discuss before you edit or delete something on my page. KellyAna I'm glad you felt the need to respond to this issue, I suggest you don't do that again. --Blackwatch21 (talk) 04:24, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
- Blackwatch, maybe you should talk to DJS24 before being so hostile. Also, I think you should know that only admins have the power to delete images so since Anetode was able to delete your images, he is an admin. People are trying to help you. You should accept the help when it's offered. Talk to DJS, he'll clarify some stuff for you. KellyAna (talk) 04:50, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
- Don't take my comments as threats, they are merely warnings. I understand how my edits to the WikiProject might have upset you, I didn't mean to offend you or screw up the formatting of that project page. However according to WP:OWN, you can expect any wikipedia user to mercilessly edit any page in a good faith effort to improve it or enforce policy. Orphaned non-free image (Image:455308619 01fbaa0cb7.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:455308619 01fbaa0cb7.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. NimiTize 02:47, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

Notes The logo didn't look well with a grey background, so I added it on a white background and I added borders dividing the white part from the grey part, and I henceforth ended up adding borders to the whole logo for it to look better (a thick border line in the middle and no border lines all around didn't look well). Also, I couldn't find the exact font used at Image:Qxz-ad31.gif, so I used Arial (if you know what font it is than please tell me and I'll change it). Housekeeping
A tag has been placed on Template:Work Xbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page and leave a note on [[Talk:Template:Work Xbox|the article's talk page]] explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. xenocidic (talk) 18:59, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
