User Blocks
[edit]Wikipedia currently blocks 500 users over a 10 hour time period, roughly 50 users an hour, and approaching one a minute. You've got close to a thousand admins to take care of that workload, but still, it seems like you could do better. Sites like GameFAQs limit the number of posts you can make in a day early on to deter problem users who won't do much damage before they're dealt with, and gradually ramp up your privelges after you register for an account, which also has a time-delay on it. At some point I strongly suspect Wikipedia will have to tighten the rules. Otherwise it'll turn into a battle more about protecting its content than being able to make improvements.
