It continued its educational services until the 1974-1975 educational year in both locations but afterwards shut down the Alsancak campus. In the 2000-2001 educational year ITK launched its Çiğli campus and then in the 2001-2002 educational year its Bornova campus and also launched its Alsancak and Karşıyaka kindergartens.
The Uşakizade Mansion was rented from Latife Hanım by İTK's founder Bahattin Tatış in 1951 and was used for educational purposes until 1991. In 1979 the mansions property rights were handed over to İTK and it was decided that the mansion would be restored. In 1998 the restoration of The Uşakizade Mansion ordered by President Süleyman Demirel opened in the 15th of June 2001 by President Ahmet Necdet Sezer. The building which was decorated with highly accurate furniture was awarded the "Thorough Repair Award" by the İzmir Municipalityin 2003.
In 2008 İTK launched the first ever stationary planetarium in Turkey the "Gezegenevi" in its Çiğli campus and opened its doors to all science enthusiasts.
