• HMS Malacca - I know of the 1809, cancelled 1843 & 1853 vessels (Winfield) - any more?
• HMS Romulus - is this getting dull yet?
• HMS Rinaldo - I know of the 1860 sloop and the Condor class sloop of 1900.

• HMS Vulcan - I believe there was a 17th Century Vulcan, which is listed in the article Scilly naval disaster of 1707 - the link points only at the Ship Index page
• 804 Naval Air Squadron has HMS Ariguani, HMS Springbank & HMS Maplin as CAM ships. Is this correct? - They served as auxiliary ships, and then as catapult armed vessels, so presumably yes. If they had been CAM ships then of course they would not have been.
• HMS Mullett - please have a check - the armed trawler could probably more appropriately HMT, to indicate her status as a requisitioned trawler, but that's a judgement I'll leave to you.

Sorry, I'm not being very clear. I mean, were there only three Mulletts? - Ah yes, with you now. Yes, only three.

• Talking of fish, there are the other Ballahoo class schooners, HMS Chub (or Chubb), HMS Grouper, HMS Herring, HMS Pike, HMS Whiting & HMS Bream. HMS Haddock doesn't have an "otherships" link, nor do some others, but I don't know if this is deliberate or accidental.

• Bream, Haddock and Grouper are unique names, were there any others? HMS Chub raises an interesting issue, Colledge has her as the former USS Eagle, but that article indicates she was renamed Finch after her capture. The Finch listed in Colledge was apparently USS Growler, but our wikipedia article has Growler becoming HMS Hamilton, but no ship with that name is listed as in service in the right period. There are a few other inconsistencies, clearly someone somewhere is confusing some records. I'll try to investigate this a little more in the near future.

User:Acad Ronin wrote the Ballahoo class schooner articles, and I know Rif has been involved. Given they are the smallest men-of-war imaginable, it is no surprise that the historical record is weak. • HMS Placentia - odd name! I think Charles Herbert (Royal Navy officer) was her captain, in about 1793, but I'd be grateful to know how many vessels I'm dealing with over that period. At least three for sure, as Hepper has court martial records for their losses. However, National Maritime Museum records indicate a possible fourth, a cutter. • Could you have another look at HMS Grinder? I've moved the article that originally sat there to HMS Grinder (1809) and started the shipindex page. I've added Colledge as a reference, although I haven't got a copy, merely to save you the effort of adding it.
• HMS Vestal - it's not shown in the online Colledge.
