Belisario Arce is the founder of the pan-Amazon movement, whose goal is to promote the ideal of integration and cooperation among individuals, companies and institutions in the continental Amazon. The strategy he has been adopting for more than a decade is the creation of a wide network, mainly of businessmen from the states of the Brazilian Amazon and neighboring countries: Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Peru, Suriname and Venezuela.

Belisário Arce has played a notable activism in defense of the socioeconomic development of the Amazon, as well as the ideals of integration and cooperation of regional societies, having maintained a consistent trajectory, persisting in spreading the idea that the prosperity of Amazonian societies are the sole instrument for the solution of the social and environmental problems of the region. In that regard, the focus of his attention is on promoting a liberal agenda and normalizing productive activities, with due social and environmental balance.

Belisário Arce played a key role in the first years of operation of the Amazon Cooperation Treaty Organization - ACTO. During the term of office of the first Secretary General of that international body in Brasilia, he served as Chief of Staff, responsible for coordinating many vital processes for the new organization. Such experience allowed Belisário Arce to become an authority on the intricacies of that international Organization.

Although his attention is focused on economic and business matters, he has devoted many efforts to the promotion of cultural and artistic integration in the continental Amazon, having organized and curated numerous collective exhibitions by artists from the continental Amazon. Likewise, with the same approach, he promoted gastronomic events with Amazonian chefs. He also dedicates himself to activites that aim to recover and preserve the historical memory of the Amazon region.

He also has extensive experience in the tourism industry and academy. He was Director of Tourism Development and Coordinator of International Promotion of Amazon Tourism Board; where he promoted the development of public policies to foster tourism in Amazon region and promote the destination abroad. He was the first Executive Director of the Amazon Convention & Visitors Bureau, being the executive responsible for its implementation in the city of Manaus. He was a lecturer in the Department of Tourism at Huron University, campus of Tokyo, Japan. He also lectured tourism at universities in the city of Manaus.

Belisario Arce also has active participation in the midia, as a columnist in newspapers, magazines, blogs, and at Radio CBN Amazonia, he maintained the "Pan-Amazon Observatory" for four years. He also wrote, organized, edited and published numerous books on Amazonian regional subjects.

Born in 1965 in Manaus, Belisario Arce has Brazilian and Portuguese citizenships, married to writer Dina Arce and father of a son. He holds a Master's degree in International Relations from Aoyama Gakuin University - Tokyo, and a degree in Business Administration from the Federal University of Amazonas.
