Continental Divide is an unincorporated community in western New Mexico, United States, 35 miles west of Grants, New Mexico. It is located alongside old US Route 66, Exit 47 off of Interstate 40. Not unsurprisingly, it is located on the North American continental divide at the headwaters of the South Fork Puerco River on the west, and the headwaters of Michell Draw, a Rio San Jose tributary, the on the east. Half a mile to the west is the community of Gonzales, New Mexico.
