On 1 January 1923, NCR was aquired by the LSWR, which it self was amalgamated to form Southern Railway.[1]
In August 1912, Herbert Walker, the new General Manager of the LSWR, proposed that the LSWR should absorb the North Cornwall Railway. Instead the LSWR settled for a re-organisation of the then existing stockholding, rentals and rebates.[2][3]
