Hi there. Thanks for helping to remove the unreliable source (of often trivial content).[1] However, can you also remove the text that it was supporting, or at least place a {{Cn}} tag if you think it's both non-trivial and reliably sourced somewhere else. Or cite a new source, which you did for the All-NBA selections. Thanks. —Bagumba (talk) 11:39, 26 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thanks for your message. Just finished editing the page. Filtered through the records to remove many trivial ones and left a {{Cn}} tag across several important ones. Will find the right sources for them in due course. Hope it is not too soon to suggest that we can look into preserving the page, considering its significance and substantiated (current) nature? Feel free to review and let me know. Thanks. — Beemer03 (talk) 16:49, 26 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
My above comment was regarding the Stephen Curry page. Are you talking instead about "preserving" List of career achievements by Stephen Curry, perhaps?—Bagumba (talk) 04:12, 27 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I see. I was referring to the List of career achievements by Stephen Curry page actually. — Beemer03 (talk) 04:23, 27 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm waiting to see what the arguments are there, but nobody has made a formal !vote yet. It'd be a no-brainer if it was like List of career achievements by Cristiano Ronaldo, a load of lesser (but tangible) awards that we wouldn't want to clutter up the bio with. I'm trying to imagine what the page might be like without all the "ESPN Stat"-like convoluted facts. At Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_National_Basketball_Association/Archive_38#Proposal:_Career_High_tables ,there wasn't any consensus for tables of game stat lines like 50 points or triple doubles. Pulling search results off of Basketball Reference is WP:OR is also not notable.—Bagumba (talk) 04:59, 27 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

More Steph

[edit]

Hey Beemer03. Thanks again for your continued work in cleaning up List of career achievements by Stephen Curry. What would you think to removing from the "records" sections all the "first player", "only player", "one in four players" etc. items? Records are having the highest value of some stat, not being the first or one of N to do something, those ESPN Stat-type mentions. Those non-records, if notable enough, can be put into his bio into the revelant chronological section and giving it proper context, instead of in a list of factoids. —Bagumba (talk) 12:56, 8 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Bagumba. Appreciate it, here to help. I think it's a good idea to move the non-records to Steph's main. Depending on context, I'll move them to the appropriate sections. Let me know your thoughts, thanks. Beemer03 (talk) 03:06, 12 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I already took a first pass at removing from the list page. Less of an issue if they are in prose in the bio, and it seems like they would have more context around text about the actual season, where applicable. Feel free to WP:PRESERVE and add them there. Thanks. —Bagumba (talk) 03:37, 12 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
