My name is Mark (bbmusicman). I am a former journalist and newspaper columnist, and have worked for many Silicon Valley high tech companies. I cruised many networking events for creative types with Craig Newmark (craigslist.com) during the dot-com boom in San Francisco. Craigslist and Wikipedia are two of the most useful and important online resources to emerge from that chaotic period, and they stand as shining examples of the Internet's potential to serve public interest. I am interested in all things cultural -- fine art in particular -- but I am also a committed life-long learner and my interests are diverse.
