Ruby Lerner is an American cultural producer and founding president of Creative Capital. Before Creative Capital, Lerner held leadership positions at Association of Independent Video and Filmmakers (AIVF), Independent Film and Video Monthly, Alternate ROOTS, and IMAGE Film/Video Center. Early in her career she served as Audience Development Director for Manhattan Theatre Club.[1]
Early Life
[edit]Lerner was born in North Carolina and completed an undergraduate degree in comparative religion at Goucher College, and graduate work in theatre at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.
During nearly 30 years in the arts, she has written and lectured extensively on arts issues, served on many boards, steering committees and grantmaking panels, and has consulted with hundreds of arts organizations on audience development and related areas of arts management.
