DU PHOTOFEST

Every year on 19 August relating to "World Photography Day" DU Photo Festival organised by Centre For Studies In Journalism And Mass communication, Dibrugarh University. Every year on this day they (CSJMC) organised some competition like-

1. Mobile  photography

2. DSLR  photography

3. Photo  story

        And they also did some Photo Exhibition and photography workshop. It is one of the biggest celebration for CSJMC. It is done an offline mode but for COVID situation they organised it on virtual mode on 2020 and 2021.

         On 2021 CSJMC students renue previous website  and all photographies had sent on that website for competition in the type of exhibition. Although photofest was held on 19 August but on July 29 CSJMC students uploaded poster to know the people for upcoming photofest. It was done on three categories. They were -

1. Mobile  photography

2. DSLR  photography

3. Photo  story

        On Mobile photography and DSLR photography around 250 entries had come from various states of India. And also 6 photo story had come . From all 250 enteries  30 photos were short listed and our guest Selvaprakash Lakshmanan photographer of Chennai and Kuntala Roy  Choudhury wild   life photographer and professor of Law , our assistant professor of CSJMC Mr. Tanuj Nath , Bhaskar barman and Chayanka Talukdar students of CSJMC had selected best three photography. On 19  August  a interactive session had done between our guests and CSJMC students. The guest told the student about what is photography? How it done ? etc etc... Members of CSJMC students for this event announced the name of winning three photographer competitor and launched all photographes on this website . And also gave all participants e - certificate through e-mail and gave prize to three competitors through speed post on their address.
