James Earl Comley III was born on July 15, 1986 to James Earl Comley Jr and Gale Ann Comley at the Tulsa Regional Medical Center in Downtown Tulsa, OK. He is the youngest of three: one brother, Jesse Comley, and one sister, Patricia Comley.

James graduated from Bristow High School in 2004. He then attended Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, where he got the opportunity to attend the Walt Disney World College Program in Orlando, Florida.

The College Program exposed him to a life outside that of the Oklahoma social norm. As such, he came out as an openly gay man.

In mid 2005, he moved back to Oklahoma. After a brief period of living in Bristow, he moved to Tulsa.

In 2006 he made the move to Orlando permanently. During his time there he met the person that he would spend the rest of his life with.

May 2010 saw a drastic change for Jake. He moved to a small town in south central Pennsylvania. He broke away from the Sonic brand in 2011 and married the love of his life February 1st 2011.

Career Information

James began working for Sonic Drive-In in 2002. He continued working for them during high school, and even during his time at Northeastern, concurrent with his employment at a corporate-owned drive-in in Tahlequah. Upon acceptance into the Disney College Program, Comley started his employment with the Walt Disney Company as a food and beverage Cast Member at the Magic Kingdom park. After the successful completion of his college program terms, James moved back to Oklahoma and resumed employment at the Sonic located at 140 West 4th in Bristow as an assistant manager. When he moved to the Tulsa area, James began employment with another corporately owned location (at 10209 East 41st Street). During the time at the 41st and Garnett location, he also had times of employment at both the Creek Nation Casino in South Tulsa, and DirecTV in Midtown. In September of 2006, James terminated his employment at both DirecTV and SRI and moved to Orlando, Florida.

Shortly after arriving in Orlando, he began working for Sprint and another franchise Sonic location on International Drive. Within 1 year of working at this Sonic location, he became assistant manager. In February of 2007, he left Sprint.

James became the General Manager of Sonic #4529 in Orlando in late 2008. After serving in that position, he took a position in Pennsylvania, and then in Baltimore, Maryland.

Jake severed ties with the Sonic restaurant brand in January 2011, and now serves as a Provider Services Representative for United Healthcare.
