In a large country like India - Rising Non communicable diseases such as Colorectal cancers, widely prevalent proctological issues and functional bowel disorders call for attention. Widely practiced, but poorly done so - due to lack of sub specialisation.

Founded by Dr NARASIMHAIAH SRINIVASAIAH, only one of the few fully trained colorectal surgeons in Bangalore. His training spans decades of experience gained from Great Britain, Germany, Portugal and USA.

The facility was dedicated to the community by Dr. Sudhakar (Honourable Minister for Medical education and Health with family welfare ).
