MyMiniFactory is a website dedicated to the free sharing of 3D printable files. The platform is fully curated[1], which means that every object downloadable there has been previously print tested on cheap FDM 3D printers. The object database covers a wide range of different objects ranked in various categories.
History
[edit]MyMiniFactory was launched by iMakr ltd in june 2013[2] and has been growing constantly, crossing the rank 50,000[3] bar on Alexa Internet by the end of December 2014.
Activity
[edit]In addition to sharing files, MyMiniFactory engages with its community of users through various 3D design competitions [4][5] and recently launched MyMiniFactory TV, a streaming platform for 3D designers. MyMiniFactory also innovated through partnerships with various partners such as Royal Mail[6] and Cel Robox, becoming the world's first 3D files library to be integrated to a 3D printer's software.[7]
