[edit]AthleteTimeline is used to summarise the seasons or major events of an athlete's or team's career or participation in a regular series of events, which are documented elsewhere on Wikipedia.
Usage
[edit]The template may be used by using the following basic format

Parameters

| sportSeries | yes | Defines the sport series or series of athletic events.
The parameter and capitalisation must match the Wikipedia pages for that series e.g. e.g. |
| debutYear | yes | The year of the athlete's first full or half season
e.g. |
| athleteName | no | The name of the athlete as it should display in the template output
e.g. If the parameter is blank, no name or link to the athlete page is displayed |
| athletePage | no | The name of the Wikipedia page on this athlete

| result1 | yes | Results are expressed as a series of special words:
(All special words begin with a capital letter) |

no | Formatting is the same as result1. Each result is separate by a vertical bar (i.e. as a separate parameter).
