the name balusu is a sir name or a family name of certain people of a certain caste of certain community.
it was originated with all the castes and caste system in India which is a very sensitive topic nowadays
first lets have a quick overview of how and why castes are created and segregated?
what does caste mean?
caste:each of the hereditary classes of Hindu society, distinguished by relative degrees of ritual purity or pollution and of social status.
castes are created long ago to split the work among people . caste names are give depending on the type of work they do.
According to one long-held theory about the origins of South Asia's caste system, Aryans from central Asia invaded South Asia and introduced the caste system as a means of controlling the local populations. The Aryans defined key roles in society, then assigned groups of people to them.
it becomes complex if we talk about cast system in India.
Sikhism stresses equality and rejects discrimination based on gender, caste or creed. Also, the Indian constitution prohibits discrimination on the basis of religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth. Originally, people were grouped into four groups called the Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas and the Shudras.
It is referred to frequently in the ancient Indian texts. The four classes were the Brahmins (priestly people), the Kshatriyas (also called Rajanyas, who were rulers, administrators and warriors), the Vaishyas (artisans, merchants, tradesmen and farmers), and Shudras (labouring classes).
India's Dalits still fighting untouchability. Dalits are at the bottom of the Hindu caste system and despite laws to protect them, they still face widespread discrimination in India, writes Natalia Antelava. caste system divides Hindus into four main categories - Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas and the Shudras. ... The main castes were further divided into about 3,000 castes and 25,000 sub-castes, each based on their specific occupation. Outside of this Hindu caste system were the achhoots - the Dalits or the untouchables.
The Effect of Caste System on the Indian society. ... The collapse of Mughal era saw the rise of men who associated themselves as affirmative regal of the caste ideals. This Varna system altogether gave rise to rigid caste organizations making it the apparatus for administration.
A caste system is a class structure that is determined by birth. Loosely, it means that in some societies, if your parents are poor, you're going to be poor, too. Same goes for being rich, if you're a glass-half-full person.
there are advantages and disadvantages of caste system in India.
now balusu is a sir name of a clan of a sub caste of the caste of the 3,000 castes and 25,000 sub castes they are again separated in two or more categories after categories.
still they are classified in clans. the term gotta comes into picture
In Hindu society, the term gotra is commonly considered to be equivalent to clan. It broadly refers to people who are descendants in an unbroken male line from a common male ancestor or patriline.
A gotra must be distinguished from a kula. A kula is a set of people following similar cultural rituals, often worshiping the same divinity (the Kula-Devata, god of the clan). Kula does not relate to lineage or caste. In fact, it is possible to change one's kula, based on one's faith or Iṣṭa-devatā.
balusu clan falls under the kula of Chowdary or Khama caste.
if any goes to the temple the pilgrim asks for kula or gotta for doing prayers on their name.it is a tradition in hindhu system from long time ago.
now lets get deep into the subject of our article.
