My name is Matt Brannigan. I am Chicago native living in the city of Milwaukee. I come from a family of five: myself, my older brother, my mother, my father, and of course, my dog Lotti. I attended Marist High School where I played volleyball and soccer. Since the age of eleven, I have been involved in Boy Scouts and I am an Eagle Scout. I worked as a bicycle mechanic between the ages of fifteen and nineteen. Through my work I found a love for riding.
I am currently a junior studying biomedical sciences on the pre-PA track at Marquette University. I am also pursuing a neuroscience minor. I am privileged to be a teaching assistant for one of my favorite courses, functional neuroanatomy. I have ambitions to graduate from Marquette University’s physician assistant studies program. As a physician assistant, my primary goal is to serve as a surgical PA, but I would like to begin my career in emergency medicine.
I am an avid outdoorsman and when the weather cooperates, I enjoy riding my bicycle. I am a long-time soccer lover and I keep up with my game through intramural sports. Music has a special place in my heart – I am always listening to something. At Marquette I am involved in the First Responders Club and I spend some of my free time volunteering in a research lab. The rest of my free time is spent with my rambunctious roommates. Fun fact about me: I enjoy cooking. I am no Gordon Ramsay but I can grill a mean burger and whip up a killer pot of chili.
I am currently working on a Wikipedia page for former president of the Society of Neuroscience, Lorne Mendell. My colleagues can visit my sandbox here:
