B'laster Holdings
[edit]B'laster Holdings is a performance chemical manufacturer based out of Cleveland, Ohio.[1] B'laster Holdings currently manufactures a variety of products at their distribution facilities located in Valley View, Ohio, as well as Medina, Ohio.[1] Depending on the product, it is possible to assemble and produce up to 50,000 to 60,000 cans a day.[1]
B'laster Holdings has obtained multiple brands over the years, starting with their original brand, B'laster.[2] B'laster Holdings soon acquired additional brands within the automotive industry including GUNK, Liquid Wrench, Titeseal, AC Avalanche as well as Casite.[2][3]
History
[edit]In 1957, William K. Westley established B’laster Holdings by developing the Original PB B’laster in response to a problem a friend was having with a phosphate mine in Florida.[1][4] Mining equipment could not be taken apart for maintenance because of the build-up of corrosion, phosphate and moisture.[4] Nothing could break through the corrosion, until The Original PB B'laster Penetrant was created.[1][4] The penetrant freed the nuts and bolts that were stuck on the equipment by eating through the rust and corrosion.[1]
In 2015, B’laster rebranded to take on a more cohesive look, and to attain additional brand awareness.[5] Along with the rebranding decision, came an increase in marketing as well as advertising.[5] B'laster Holding's new focus was to sell consumers a great-working product from a trusted brand at an honest price.[5]
B'laster Holdings decided to increase their portfolio of automotive aftermarket brands under president and chief operating officer, Randy Pindor.[3] In 2020, the company acquired Texas-based AC Avalanche, in which sold recharging systems for automotive air conditioners.[3] The acquisition of AC Avalanche will assure the company a strong foundation within customer relationships, as well as expand product offerings.[3]
In May 2022 B'laster Holdings looked to strengthen and expand their portfolio again.[2] B'laster soon obtained Blumenthal Brands Integrated LLC.[2] The BBI product lines include GUNK cleaners & degreasers, Liquid Wrench lubricants & penetrants, and Titeseal tire sealants & protectants.[2]
