I'm a retired software engineer and now a writer of non-fiction and fiction. I find myself using Wikipedia for research when my writing takes me into a subject area where I lack depth. I decided to try editing after finding a bit of vandalism by accident. It's one way to give back, in addition to donations (which everyone should do).
So far, it's fun and satisfying.
