User:Ayo Bakare (Maidas-Torch)

Born on May 20, 1988. Ayo Bakare is a Nigerian cultural anthropologist, educational entrepreneur and playwright.

Ayo bagged his first degree in Yoruba and Education in 2011 from Obafemi Awolowo university (Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo campus) Nigeria and a Master of Art in Yoruba Literature from The University of Ibadan, Nigeria in 2017.

He is the Founder and Chairman of Maidas-Torch Global Schools, Ibadan, Nigeria.

In 2013 and 2015, he won grants from Firebird Foundation for Anthropological Research, U.S.A to record Yoruba Traditional Marriage Songs and Yoruba Folktales respectively.

And in 2022, he won a grant from Goethe Institut, Germany to record Yoruba Housewives Rivalry Songs.
