Md. Abdul Wazed is worldwide well-known for the concept of commonality in manufacturing. He has introduced the commonality (both part and process) in the MRP models. The Models are applicable for manufacturing under various uncertain factors. The models can be used to develop soft tools for SME/SMIs.
'About Md. Abdul Wazed'
[edit]Md. Abdul Wazed is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Chittagong University of Engineering and Tchnology (CUET). He got his PhD in Supply Chain Management from the Department of Engineering Design & Manufacture, University of Malaya (UM), Malaysia. He acquired his Master in Engineering (Industrial Management) degree from Katholic University of Leuven (KULeuven), Belgium in 1999. He graduated with Mechanical Engineering degree from CUET [erstwhile Bangladesh Institute of Technology (BIT), Chittagong], Bangladesh. He has been working as a faculty in the Department of Mechanical Engineering of CUET, Bangladesh since his graduation.
