Bastola
[edit]Bastola (Devnagari : बास्तोला) is one of surname of Hill Brahmin community predominantly found in the hills of Nepal. The people of this surname follows Hinduism religion. Large number of Bastola people resides in Hetauda - Makawanpur, Bhaktapur, Pokhara area, Solukhumbu, Okhaldhunga and some even in Darjeeling and Sikkim. Though Bastola are mostly Brahmins a few also considers themselves as Chhetri. Garga is the Gotra of these people under the linage of Garga sage.
