The Star Book for Ministers in an instructional book for ministers, chiefly of the Baptist denomination. Published by Edward Thurston Hiscox in 1878 and still in print.
Publishing history
[edit]The book was first published in 1878 by Ward & Drummond.
It was revised in 1906, by Griffith & Rowland and again in 1994. The current revision was completed in 2014.
Contents
[edit]The book contains "Suggestions to Ministers— Weddings, Funerals, Visitation of the Sick, Councils, Ordinations, Dedications" as well as selections of scripture for use in celebrations and memorials.
There is also a chapter covering the Episcopal burial service, forms for marriages, Parliamentary rules, and a selection of ecclesiastical forms and blanks.
There are also sections containing various facts and figures.
