The Score are a fictional music group from Thom Keyes' first book "All Night Stand", about the ups and downs of a '60s British rock music group on their way to success.
The book is narrated by David Entwhistle, a Liverpullian. Every few chapters a new viewpoint is introduced, along with a page of stats for each.
Plot
[edit]Dave starts a group with four friends to get girls. He ends up having to marry Angela, a scrubber he's going with, because she is 16 and her father "insists". Roy, the level-headed one, signs on with another label (A&M) and leaves the group. The group go on tour in Hamburg, Germany, having a thoroughly miserable time. After Germany, their record begins to sell well, just behind the Beatles. A riot breaks out during a performance at High Wycombe and they find themselves suddenly famous.
