Acidianus filamentous virus 3 or more scientificly known as Betalipothrixvirus acidiani is a virus in the family, Lipothrixviridae.^[1]^[2]^[3]

Host

The host of Acidianus filamentous virus 3 is Acidianus convivator^[1]^[2] a species of archaea in TACK Clade. A.convivator lives in spings found in Pozzuoli, Naples, Italy and is endemic so Acidianus filamentous virus 3 is also endemic to the area.^[1]

Structure/Description

The species is 2 μm long and even though we don’t have the information they are probably 8 nm in width.^[1]

The species has dsDNA and proteins and other biomolecules. Their DNA is double stranded.^[1]^[2]
