Yaikhom Randhan Meitei (born 13 March 1993) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Bengaluru FC in the I-League on loan from IMG-Reliance.
Career
[edit]Early Career
[edit]Born in Manipur, Meitei started his career playing in youth tournaments such as the Subroto Cup where in one match he scored five goals in a 13–0 victory for his school.[2] Meitei then represented Jharkhand in the BC Roy Trophy for a few years.[3] Meitei then entered the Tata Football Academy where he stayed till 2012 when he signed his first professional contract with Pailan Arrows for the 2012–13 I-League.[4] However, after not playing at all during the season, Meitei was loaned out to DSK Shivajians of the I-League 2nd Division before the 2013 season.[5]
Bengaluru FC
[edit]On 13 December 2013 it was announced that Meitei had signed with Bengaluru FC of the I-League for the rest of the season on loan from IMG-Reliance, the company who owns his contract from Pailan Arrows.[6]
