User:Arms Jones
My name is Howard but back in the '80s I didn't want to be confused with the synth pop star (even if I liked his music) so my friends just called me "Arms" because of my interest in heraldry, and that name stuck.
I have been editing Wikipedia since autumn of 2013. I used to edit Wikipedia with another user name some years before, but I don't remember the login, if it's even still valid.
It seems to me, Wikipedia has not enough information about heraldry and coats of arms. Judging from some people's requests for deletions, it seems many people here wish this lack of information to stay as it is. When comparing to Wikipedia in other languages, they often have long articles about the arms even of minor municipalities, so why shouldn't English Wikipedia have articles about the arms of London boroughs? However, the possibility to create good articles about heraldry is hampered by the problem of copyright issues with images of many coats of arms. Now the image of the coat of arms of South Africa has been deleted because of this. I find it sad there's no easy solution to this problem. 10:35, 31 January 2014 (UTC) No matter how hard you try to develop an article to be able to use images in it, noone is helping. It is just no, no, no all the time. People don't seem to want Wikipedia to get better, they just want to remove images and don't care how that leaves the articles. I was under the impression Wikipedia should be a collaborative effort to create a nice and good looking online encyclopedia, but it seems most people are not interested in helping when it comes to trying to make things work. 16:27, 10 February 2014 (UTC)
