Article Evaluation
[edit]I’ve been interested in beach soccer for a while now, I decided to look at wikipedias page for United States men’s national soccer beach team and found three aspects of it worth commenting on: Lack of citations, colored charts, History.
Lack of citations
[edit]This article does have citations but not many, it doesn’t have a citation when claiming that United states held the first ever professional beach soccer event and claiming that in 1994 the U.S. team competed in the first ever Beach Soccer World Championship tournament in Brazil. The article could use more citation and external links to back up the facts they have stated. The article states the head coach and assisting coaches but no links supporting this.
Colored Charts
[edit]The article has many graphs/charts but they aren’t colored coordinated with the chart they have provided to determine if they have lost or won or tied their games. It also doesn’t say who scored most of the goals, who is captain, which players start and the duration the game, which is usually something that is mentioned in many sports.
History
[edit]The article mostly speaks about what countries the USA team has gone up against and gives very little detail about how they started, why they decided to make beach soccer a national team and how people get recruited. I believe the article needs more history information and doesn’t really speak about players and where they usual practice and their original colors.
Conclusion
[edit]Over all the article is decent, it needs more resources and citations and more in depth information about the history, there are only a few dead links but the article is up to date with the charts about when they last played and the final scores, it has a list of all the players and the position they play which is great.
