Hi! My name is Ariayana Harrell, and I am a graduating senior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, working towards a degree in Psychology (B.S.) and Sociology with a Women and Gender Studies Minor. I am a part of the Carolina Covenant, Carolina Covenant's Career Accelerator Program, Rural Medicine Pathway Project, and GoldenLeaf's Rural Internship Initiative. Through these programs I had the pleasure of conducting a research project examining the associations between neighborhood racial composition, allostatic load, and mental health among adolescents in the United States, using data from Add Health.

Upon graduation, I hope to obtain my Ph.D. in either Social Epidemiology, Sociology, or Population Health Sciences. I am very interested in learning more about embodiment and the life course, so my research focus would surround racial and neighborhood context on physical health and overall well-being.
